MEDInstill Girls U14 Tier II - 1   Mid Fairfield CT Stars U14 Tier II - 2
Pushing themselves to a fourth place finish in the GAL League Playoffs was quite an accomplishment.  The MEDInstill Girls U14 Tier II team made a strong run for its first season of play at this level.  At the start of the year we had our doubts, but as we grew, we were playing even with most every team in the league, these girls need to feel proud of what they have done.  Holding teams to typically a one or two goal differential is very credible.  Netting goals, finding the open teammate, and making the extra pass are the skills we have gained.  More goals would have been better, but maybe that will be next week in the CHC State Tournament.   A loss of 2 to 1 to Mid Fairfield ended the run for the GAL title.  Meghan Dietter netted the goal assisted by Maddy Holland.  Lexi Long played a great game recording 30 saves.

Mite B - 1   Avon B - 2
In a hard fought battle against Avon our Mites put up a great fight to end up just a little short. After an unlucky bounce with only 5 seconds left on the clock, Avon stole a win from what looked like a tie. Colby Fowler scored the lone, unassisted goal. The entire team played an excellent game outshooting our upstate rivals 28 to 16 - the forwards back checked well and the defense cleared most of the rebounds away while goalie Ben Marano made 14 saves in the last second loss. This was a fantastic result and shows the huge improvement the team has made since losing earlier in the season to Avon 10 – 0. It was a sensational team effort.

Mite B - 5   Mid Fairfield Mite C - 3
In an early morning game in Darien our short-handed Mites avenged an earlier loss this season with a solid win. After going down by a goal in the 1st our Mites answered back with 3 goals in the second to take a lead that they wouldn't give up. The scoring was led by Cameron Schopfer with 2 goals and 1 assist; other goals came from Cody Wilson, Hunter Kolpak and Nicholas Conway-Drendel. Other assists were from Matthew Hassiak, Emily Sanford and Sean DeSantis. Milo Novitz, Sean DeSantis and Bennett Danvers played solid on defense. Goalie Markus Paltauf made 16 saves for the win.

Lake Group Media Mite A - 2   Southern CT Stars Mite A - 2

In the third and final game for state playoff glory the Mite A's could only manage a tie.  Their previous win and loss, combined with this tie, were not enough to secure a spot in the semi-finals.  Mason Von Jess scored an unassisted goal.  Daniel Manning scored his first goal of the season with assists from Jake Hoadley and Trevor Davis.  Hayden Giampietro made 23 saves in goal.
